Thursday, January 26

Today we painted a classroom at the school in Honduras.  It was VERY VERY hot!  Angelica and I got into a water fight to cool down.  It felt wonderful! We poured water on each other.  Tonight we are going to set off fireworks outside in the street.  In Spanish they're called bombas.  We set off a few fireworks last night and the neighbors were scared that it was gunfire because it's not fireworks season.  Later in our trip we are going to a resort called La Ensenada.  I've learned a lot of spanish words like:  fireworks, painting, french fries, chicken, and green.  So far the last two nights, Angelica and I have painted each others nails.  In Honduras it is very tropical with 'muy grande' leaves everywhere.  Four turtles live in a pond outside the house we're staying in and they climb on top of each other trying to get out of the pond.   ~  Naomi  Schuh ~
